We love any reason to celebrate pasta

This October, Strega Italiano is featuring a six-course progressive tasting menu, featuring several of or new homemade pasta creations. Choose to enjoy this special pre-fixe menu at $75 per person and further complement the experience with four thoughtfully curated wine pairings for an additional $35. This will be a night to remember – reservations are encouraged!

Begin your tour through Italy with our first course of homemade ravioli, hand stuffed with mushroom and goat cheese in a delicate parmesan butter sauce. For optional wine pairing, toast with a glass of Laluca Prosecco from Veneto. Defined and distinctive on the nose, the Laluca prosecco offers orchard fruits, crisp pears, and lemon curd, all of which come together in a rich, creamy style, the perfect accompaniment to your ravioli starter.

Next, indulge in our Linguine with New Bedford littleneck Clams as a second course. Lovingly made with garlic, butter and white wine, this course can be paired perfectly with Coppo de Rocca Gavi from Piedmont, a pure and fragrant wine that shows the crisp and delineated attributes that are so beautifully characteristic of Piedmont's Cortese grape. Pretty mineral notes of crushed stone give more dimension to the citrus and green apple-filled finish of the Gavi.

The third course boasts both beauty and bold flavor with our Squid Ink Bucatini. The squid ink gives the homemade Bucatini it’s gorgeous black color, as well as it’s slight sea saltiness, perfectly balanced with olives, capers, tomatoes, and white anchovies. The third and fourth pasta courses can be accompanied by a pairing of Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva of Tuscany. The palate is balanced, savory, and vibrant with a long and persistent aftertaste which brings back the wine’s ample spicy aromas and flavors.

For our fourth course, savor our Cassarecce pasta, served with housemade sweet Italian sausage, broccoli rabe, Calabrian chiles for the perfect amount of heat, and finished with Pecorino Romano. A classic Italian dish, with a Strega twist.

Save room, there’s more! For our fifth course, and final pasta dish, indulge in our hand rolled classic potato Gnocchi. Decadent, melt-in-your-mouth and perfect for the fall season, our Gnocchi is served with confit duck leg, roasted butternut squash, crispy duck crackling, sage butter, and veal demi-glacé. For our final wine pairing option, the Marchese Antinori Tenuta Guado Al Tasso Il Bruchiato from Bolgheri is the perfect balance for the flavors of this special Gnocchi. On the nose, the aromas of ripe red berry fruit, sweet spices, and alight and fresh minty note are the most prominent sensations.

At Strega Italiano, we always save room for dessert. For our finale, treat yourself with our unique Chocolate “Ravioli”…Executive Pastry Chef Alex Bonnefoi’s confection of ravioli-shaped chocolate, filled with Nutella, and topped with our signature crème anglaise.
